![]() ![]() If he chose not to save Berthold and Anisse, then Geralt and Triss head straight for The Kingfisher Inn, where Olivier will let them into the basement. After the fight is over, Geralt and Triss continue on, but must stop and wait for a patrol to pass before continuing on, otherwise more witch hunters have to be dealt with. If Geralt did not kill the guards prior to entering of Triss' apartment, the guards will ambush the pair as they exit the building. Geralt can make the choice here by advising Triss on the matter. Triss must either risk everybody to try and save the two, or leave them to a certain death. Afterwards Triss explains to Geralt that she's in a bind: she has to evacuate the mages as soon as possible, but two of them haven't reported in and she is worried they have been turned in. Geralt can either choose to step in, or do nothing. When Geralt enters the apartment, Triss is being hassled by the homeowners who sheltered her, demanding she give them her necklace as pay since the risk for sheltering a mage has increased dramatically. If Geralt chooses the other dialogue option, they will allow him to leave. Prior to Patch 4.0, Geralt could interact with them and if he tells them to mind their manners, they will become hostile. When Geralt arrives at Triss' apartment, there are two temple guards and a witch hunter outside. If having trouble with this, just look for the he pyre itself, it is very noticeable. Note: Prior to Patch 4.0, Moritz could often be bugged and invisible until after you saved him, so this was easy to miss. You can choose to let him burn or save him (use Aard and then kill the guards), after which he can be told to seek Triss for help and if so, he can later be seen during the quest. On the bridge at Glory Gate, Geralt can find Moritz Diefenthel (the masked mage who Triss ran into at the ball) about to be burned alive by witch hunters. If they aren't completed in that order, a perfumed letter will be delivered to Geralt, urging him to visit the sorceress.īefore doing so, there is one related event that is only available before talking to Triss. This quest may be started by talking to Triss after completing A Favor for Radovid and A Matter of Life and Death. 1.3 Enter the mages' hideout and follow Triss. ![]()
